We all know the story of the poor orphan boy from Charles Dickens’ classic novel. The intriguing adventures of Oliver Twist are now brought to life in the form of a musical in Lionel Bart’s sensational play, which takes viewers back to 19th-century London. Growing up in the turbulent world of Victorian England, the troubled fate of little Oliver finally turns for the better, as the viewers follow his journey from the orphanage to a gang where young troublemakers convince him to participate in robberies, becoming a sensible kid who finds peace in orderly conditions.
