On the studio stage, an average family’s average kitchen and living room, surrounded by the audience. Such is the home of the Erdőssy family. The play tells the story of a long weekend. On Friday, the parents leave for a wellness hotel in the countryside. It’s the first time they leave their 15 and 17 year-old children home alone. The parents are aware that their eldest daughter, Hanna, is planning a small gathering with her friends on Saturday night and they are rather worried about it. The teenagers assure their parents that everything will be fine. As soon as the parents leave, the youngsters begin to revel in their newfound freedom, rearranging the house and preparing for the party. The gathering starts off smoothly, but things soon spiral out of control—romances bloom, and friendships fall apart. The parents return to find their 17-year-old daughter emotionally shattered. The once mature elder daughter regresses, behaving childishly, and declaring that she never wants to grow up. The family members react very differently to the daughter’s condition, but no one is truly capable of supporting the desperate girl. The young audience/participants are given the opportunity to interpret what they’ve seen and offer help to Hanna through various roles and timeframes.
