Valerio Zaffalon

Valerio Zaffalon is a young Italian dancer and choreographer who began his studies at a private school in Turin and later continued his training with Pompea Santoro. In 2014 he entered the La Scala Ballet Tehatre Academy in Milan, where he continued his dance studies and took part in numerous productions with the dance company associated with the theater. In 2016 he transferred to London where he entered the English National Ballet School, studying not only ballet but techniques such as Graham and Cunningham. He graduated in 2019 obtaining a Trinity Diploma in Professional Dance with a dissertation in Choreography. During this period he participated in numerous productions with the English National Ballet, performing repertoires by Christopher Wheeldon, Antonio Castilla and Akram Khan among others. In 2019 he joined the contemporary dance company Fehérvári Balett in Hungary where he performed repertoires by Alexander Ekman, Lukas Timulak, Christian Ole Tangen, Attila Egerházi and Jiri Kylian. He started taking his first steps as a choreographer creating a piece for the same company, and was later on invited to several Festivals such as "Festival Canarias" and "Cuadernos Escénicos". In 2023 he joined the PRevolution Dance Company in Debrecen, Hungary and since September 2024 he is a member of the Gradient Contemporary Ballet Debrecen.
